ice caps in a far away land

sometimes i press the 'new post' button, and i sit wondering what i'm going to write about. still, i have no idea what i should write about. life seems to just be still, nothing too exciting, in fact the only cool thing right now is that my mom can't get our air conditioning to stop...seriously. i personally love it, saying i love cold weather is an understatement, having your house, let alone my room continually be 64 degrees is the best. she's freaking out of course, "the bill is going to be insane...wjdhghsfgasduyfghs."

so perhaps i'll talk about the weather, and how it's forced me to wear close to nothing lately. it's true people, yesterday i was by the pool. for those of you who are new, i hate water. my reasoning is because i was on a swim team for 769876 years, water just isn't fun for me like it used to be. when others are dying to do a cannon ball, i would rather be reading a book or hanging out by ice caps in some far away land. i'm so sarcastic.

the other day when my brother and i returned from our road trip with my grandparents, my momma wanted to take us out to dinner. so we did. of course i was gross from sitting in a car for 6 hours, but i threw on my new maxi dress, tied a little cover up around it, and paired it when the famous 'city walk' GAP flats.

room make over

i adore black furniture- it really does go with everything. Pier1 always has the best selection.
TOMS overload...going on 10 pairs...a little glutton of me.
i usually sort my colors, but this time i did my type of shirt...nice blouses..long sleeves...summery shirts...button ups..
dresses can sometime take over a bit- i always put more than one dress on a hanger.

okay so this little hanger thing was actually a curtain hold back, i got creative.

made use of my high school paintings...momma hung them up.
tall dresser- best furniture decision i have ever made. fits almost anywhere.

technically this isn't a real make over, but since my room is rarely clean and organized, i'll call it a make over. so yeah, this whole post is about how i managed to unpack, organize, and keep it clean for now 3 days. you think i'm crazy don't you? guys, my room has always been a mess. even since i can remember, it's been a mess. my mom and dad used to help me clean it, then sometimes my mom would just clean it for me, hoping it would be a fresh start and praying i would just keep it up- didn't happen.my best friend makaela, used to be the friend that had seriously the cleanest room ever, me naw...bless her heart she would actually help me clean it. i'm known on both sides of my family for being messy, i think it's because i don't think a messy room makes you the person you are. sure when things are put together, you find items easier and it looks nice, but really why does the world insist our room stay clean?

any who, it's clean, and i'm going to try and keep it this way. i'ts been nice being home from school, i haven't done a lot- in fact iv'e done nothing. i take my pups on walks, we share baskets of blueberries, and bask out in the sun. (well we did that today...) i created a resume, because the job hunting needs to start asap. i'll share tat a little later on this week. oh and guess what???? ali comes home tomorrow! i'm so so so excited for her to get in. kaitlyn, nicole, and myself are all going to go pick her up at the airport! so excited for everyone to be home, sucha  great feeling!

here's the progress on my room; i need to get some window coverings...whatcha think?

total bed models huh?

have a fabulous day.
xoxo
