A's

(Shirt: Thrifted. Pants: F21. Shoes: Thrifted. Jacket: American Eagle. Watch: Gifted.)

yeah that's right. I found out 3 lovely little A's made their way to my grade today in English. Boy-was I excited. It's just what I needed to start off this week. I love getting good grades, it makes all the hard work pay off ya kno?

So usually late at night when everything in this house is simmering down I go blog hunting, as I like to call it. This usually means I'm just going from blog to blog, grasping inspiration, ideas, and awesome clothing looks. When I find someone who has also challenged themselves to the 30 for 30, I notice most of them are on Day 28. Obviously, they dressed every single day even if they are just lounging around the house. (This paragraph is becoming pointless) So here's the problem...Should I just stop doing 30 for 30 and try another month? Or should I continue even if I drag onto another month? Your thoughts?

Everyone around here thinks I should just keep puttin' along, I mean I did challenge myself. I can't just quit. God I hate that word.....quit. It's so ugly.

Ok. I'll just stick with it. That word turns everything around.

Off topic, but you know what's funny. 3 minutes left in class, and the teacher is wrapping everything up, and someone raises their hand and says, "Oh we still need to peer edit....."

The whole class except for that one girl......."uhhhh.......(whispers) why did she say anything?"

I hate that.

I need to go make dinner. I'm so hungry.

I'll leave you with this, FRIENDS make the best laughs.

ciao. xoxo

(I got a letter from Ali. My best friend, Ali hates when I wear hair ties in pictures...opps.)
---And yes, she does call me Soul mate---

no snow weekend

I waited, and waited, and even thought it was falling yesterday, they were only bugs from the trees.  Oh well I mean, I didn't even have snow pants or mittens. So there.

How was everyone's weekend? My was relaxing, I did nothing. Sometimes it's good to do nothing but relax. I realized a few days ago, how fast this year went by. I'm not complaining though, I wish it would go faster. Only 3 more months of school, crazy huh?

I'll be back to write some more, I have a couple things to do.

laugh over some spilled milk

see the funny thing here is this post wasn't supposed to be about some spilled milk, but rather soup. But right after I got cozy in my sweats and a cool Britney Spears t-shirt, I decided to make some chocolate milk. Well, it must have been a sign from the food god, "You don't need that milk..." (or just the cheap glasses)  but soon after I started stirring the milk......WAM! The cup broke. Yes ladies and gentlemen, The cup broke.

So here we have Erica in the kitchen preparing to blog. And the milk spilled all over the ground. Obviously.

(if you're wondering, NO I didn't make another glass)

For the intended part of this post: Homemade Creamy Chicken Noodle and Rice Soup

AMAZING.

  • Chicken Broth
  • Water
  • 3 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 3 Carrots
  • 1 Package of Egg Noodles
  • Hot Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Garlic Salt
  • Crushed Garlic
  • Onions
  • 4 Potatoes
  • 1 Can of Corn
  • 1 Can of Cream of Mushroom
  • Rice ( any kind; white or brown)

Basically that's all your need. And basically chop, dice, shred chicken, and pour into a big pot. Let Boil, turn down to simmer. and WALAHH! Let it simmer for about 45 minutes

That easy and that simple. Just use anything you can find in your place, you can add seriously anything to this.

Oh and if you want a little something for the side. Try Jiffy's Corn Muffins. So easy and quick. Perfect little side treat.
shredin' away

See yall tomorrow.

are just what we have left over for the next 3 weeks. Yes I made dinner. Amazing soup if you must ask. I'm always impressed with myself when I can whip together something on the top of my head. Below you will find the super easy recipe. I wouldn't even call it a recipe though.

Today was a gloomy day, the weather I mean. It's supposed to rain rain rain, all weekend long. I'm so excited. I heard of snow hitting San Francisco this weekend? If it happens, someone please make a snow angel for me. I can't believe I only went to the snow 2 times this past Winter, especially when all Christmas break long I was surrounded by snow junkies. I love those snow junkies I speak of though,  really love em all. They love snowboard and or skiing too. I've skied before...a couple times, okay like 12 times. It's a love hate relationship. My bum always hurts the next day though.

So back to the weather, yeah kids get our your rain boots, it's gonna be a wet one!

Let's go sledding!

I'll leave you with this, stay around for the next couple of hours, another post is coming.

Ciao. XOXO

embarrassed

hi.......
It's been quite sometime. I always get real embarrassed when I come back from not posting for awhile. The feeling you get when you tell you teacher, "Oh I'll bring it tomorrow...." Tomorrow comes and you didn't even do it. So you just don't even mention anything about it, but then 5 days later when she's not looking you just throw it on her desk and run away. Oh, yeah I did that my whole Senior year of high school. Ok enough of that.

I need to make up for what I've been lacking lately. So I'll give you a rundown of the past couple of days.

So Thursday I left to San Francisco. Yes, everyone I went again. But I only stayed for a night, then I hoped onto BART. (only the most entertaining, fastest, way to travel the Bay Area) My dear mother picked me up and we zoomed to get my dear ole' friend Ali. Fast forward a little, it was a day with momma, that eventually landed me in the thrift store, where I bought some items. Ooops. That slipped. Yes yes yes. I did buy something. For those of you who are wondering why would it matter if I bought something, well it does. Because see I'm in this little thing called 30 for 30...you can't buy anything during that time. Ok, so I broke one rule. But even though you haven't seen me for these past couple of days, the days I did dress, I didn't break any dressing rules. Dontcha worry. Okay, I'm really rambling.

My weekend was amazing, slept, cuddled with puppies, and enjoyed the gloom and rain the Central Valley threw at me. Ending the Holiday weekend with one more night and day with my best friend, Eric.

Now it's back to books, and life. wah. Only 3 more months till I'm outta here. Hooooray.

Since I don't have any photos to make your day, how about this.
Tomorrow I'll make it up to you........lots of entertaining things! Yeah?

As I was trying to think of something to write about today, I thought: My Friends. They are the people who make us laugh, make us cry, and make us feel at all. If it wasn't for any of of the people that came into my life and left I wouldn't know what true friendship or love is.

I'll leave you with this, take too many pictures, so on days that you don't take any, you have these. The ones you make you realize how much you do have right under that little nose of yours.

Ciao. XOXO

blues

(Shirt: Thifted. Sweater: Given. Pants: American Eagle. Shoes: Thrifted. Belt: Thrifted. Watch: Gifted. Necklace: F21. )
I'm talking about the good blues. I love blues. Today it was gloomy here on the Central Coast. I loved it though, when it's rainy and  gloomy I have THE best day ever. I wore blue stuff. It may be becoming my new favorite color in fact.

We must talk business.......real important I tell you.
See these beauties? I found them for $2.99
Yes. For that much. And I love them. To top it all off, you can seriously wear them with anything.
       Thrift Store baby!
I love thrifting, it's one of the best thing ever. You can find so many things that you would have paid like 5 times the amount in a regular store. There's also way more variety in a thrift store, you have TONS of different stores basically all together in one. It rocks.

Tomorrow I'm going home. Well I'm actually taking one stop in San Francisco. I love that city. I do, next year I'll most likely be living there. Imagine my blog then? Oh my, it's going to be amazing. Just wait. Just wait.

Okay but then Friday I'm going homeeeeee. To Oakdale, to the place I never thought I'd be wanting to go back. Ok, I'm only staying for 2 days, but it's a get-away. Yah. A get-away, I said it. I'll most likely play with all my dogs, relax, and seriously just do nothing. Spend some much needed time with momma and Travis. (Travis is my brother, he's a cutie. You'll meet him someday.)

So for today's shoot I wandered around in this field...You know what's really weird? I'll tell ya. Okay, when people pass by either car or bike, and stare. "uhhhh hiiiiii......the fence!" Is usually what I end up saying...they don't get it. I don't blame them.

Tomorrow is Hilary's Birthday! You met her HERE! So tonight I'm taking her out for her birthday. We will find some cute birthday like  place to go to. I'll come back with some photos, dontcha worry.

(Kallie really loved this red volvo- SO a BIG thanks to the people who owns this cute little thang.)

Oh, and the whole reason for this photo, was because Kallie makes fun of me for painting my nails. Well she makes fun of me, because literally 24 hours later, the paint is all gone. YES, I bite my nails, what a horrible habit.

Lovelies, I hope you all have a wondering evening. I'll be back tomorrow.

I'll leave you with this, be sure to mark your loved one's birthdays on a calendar, wouldn't wanna forget right?..
